The DBU PhD Scholarship offers financial and professional support to dedicated doctoral students for conducting innovative environmental research. Up to 50 scholarships are awarded annually to outstanding candidates.

Eligibility Criteria of German Federal Environmental Foundation
• Candidate should have degree in good grades
• Doctoral research project needs to be done predominantly at a German higher Institution.
• Research topic should be relevant to environmental protection or nature conservation issues and offer sustainable solutions
• German language proficiency is required
• Applicants from disciplines such as natural sciences, engineering, social sciences, humanities, economics, and law are eligible to apply
