Postdoctoral Scholar Job Description
The University of Calgary, Canada is recruiting for Postdoctoral scholar at the Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Infectious Diseases to study Kaposi’s sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV) oncogenesis in Dr. Jennifer Corcoran’s lab

Postdoctoral Scholar required Qualification

Applicant should be a Ph.D. in Qualifications:

PhD in molecular virology or a closely related field.

Postdoctoral Scholar Required Experience
1. Experience with molecular cloning is essential; experience with recombinant virology is an asset.
2. Experience with standard molecular biology techniques and immunofluorescent microscopy is essential
3. Experience with the biology of oncogenic viruses preferred
4. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) including strong listening skill
5. Ability to work in a team environment, as evidenced by a track record of collaborative publication.
6. Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving skill
7. An understanding of statistical packages for data analysis and interpretation.
