Applications are open for Max Planck MTL Internship 2027 Germany. Max Planck Matter to Life Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (MtL-URO) 2027 is fully funded research internship for international students. Candidates from all parts of world can apply. Selected students will spend 10 weeks working in a research laboratory of a Matter to Life faculty member in Germany. program covers travel, accommodation, and a monthly living allowance.

Max Planck MTL Internship 2027 in Germany Details

Matter to Life Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program allows Bachelor’s students to work on a specific research question under the supervision of researchers from a Matter to Life faculty laboratory.

Participating laboratories are located across Germany, including Munich, Heidelberg, Göttingen, Dresden, Jena, Mainz, Münster, Potsdam, Aachen, and others.

Internship Fields

The internship is suitable for students studying areas such as biology, chemistry, physics, informatics, materials science, engineering, bioengineering, and related disciplines. Prior research experience is not required.

Duration: 10 weeks
Internship Period: June–November 2027

Eligibility Criteria

Be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s/undergraduate degree.
Complete at least 1.5 semesters of their degree by the time of application.
Have completed at least two semesters by the beginning of the internship.
Have a minimum GPA of 1.7.
Academic background relavent to biology, chemistry, physics, informatics, materials science, engineering, bioengineering, or a related field.

Important Eligibility Note

You must still be enrolled in your Bachelor’s degree for the entire duration of the internship. This means you cannot graduate before completing the 10-week URO internship.
